Tuesday, 29 November 2011
ImageThe Ferrari Formula One team has renewed its partnership with Kaspersky Lab for a further two years.
The partnership extension will see the computer security company receive a threefold increased level of logo placement at all Formula One races in the 2012 and 2013 seasons. For the next two seasons the company's logo will feature on the nose cone and nose sides of the cars as well as on the driver overalls and team uniforms.
“We are delighted to further develop our partnership with Scuderia Ferrari,” said Eugene Kaspersky, chairman and chief executive of Kaspersky Lab. "Our companies have many values in common: we both aim high, and never stop moving forward.
"Our achievements are based on cutting-edge technologies, high-profile expertise and constant innovation, which result in the best-in-class quality of our respective products and the peak of reliability.

“The notion of speed is very familiar to us, and we are only too happy to speed ahead on the nose cones of the Scuderia Ferrari Formula One racing cars!” he added.

Though financial details have not been released, the deal extension is believed to be worth in the region of US$1 million per year.
Kaspersky has been a motorsport sponsor since May 2010 when they announced a sponsorship agreement with the AF Corse Le Mans Series team as well as becoming an official supplier of Ferrari.
